Today was very, very hot, but that didn’t stop us enjoying a glorious day of sunshine, smiles and sunflowers as we sang at Sam’s Sunflowers on Hayling Island.
With funky hoedown vibes in full swing, we found ourselves in the most lovely, friendly and inclusive setting, surrounded by wildflowers and sunflowers. Picture the scene: bees buzzing, butterflies fluttering, children dancing with wild abandon, and Spinnaker standing proud with a fantastic turnout of singers.
We sang our way through a fabulous variety of songs from the songbooks of Queen, The Eagles, Bruce Springsteen, Diana Ross and Elton John, bringing plenty of energy, joy and a few enthusiastic moves to the afternoon.
And when it came to our final song, we were indeed “Still Standing” — just about!
A beautiful summer setting, wonderful company, glorious singing and plenty of sunshine. What more could you ask for!
